TransTech Limited

The assessment of flood risk is a planning requirement when building in designated flood risk zones and can be requested by insurance companies for existing developments.  TransTech provides river and/or coastal flood risk assessments for any scale of development within the UK and Republic of Ireland.

For Scotland these meet Scottish Planning Policy 7 (SPP7), PAN 69, SEPA criteria and insurance company specifications.  For England and Wales the assessments meet Planning Policy Statement 25 (PPS25, formerly PPG25), TAN 15, Environment Agency criteria and insurance company specifications.  For Northern Ireland they meet PPS15 criteria.

We use the latest computer software and publications to assess and model flood water inundation.  These include the Flood Estimation Handbook (Centre for Ecology and Hydrology), the FEH CD-Rom, WinFap, Wallingford InfoWorks and Halcrow ISIS.

TransTech covers all aspects of flood risk assessment including site survey, liaison with your local environment regulator and planning authority, determination of historical flooding, flood water inundation modelling and report production for submission to regulators.

We can undertake Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) for any type of proposed development from large developments involving a number of residential dwellings through to industrial developments, schools, social developments and single dwelling house plots.
